CHARLOTTE (September 15, 2008) – The Charlotte Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is pleased to announce the recipients of the organization’s 2008 National Philanthropy Day Awards, which recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy—and those people active in the philanthropic community—have made to our lives, our communities, and our world.

The 17th Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards luncheon will be held on Monday, November 10, 2008 from 11:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Westin Hotel-Charlotte. Table sponsorships cost $350 (for a table of eight) and individual tickets cost $40/person.

AFP Charlotte Receives 10 Star Award for 2007!


 
CFRE Approval Received for 2007 AFP Charlotte Meetings

We have been informed that all of our 2007 monthly meetings are eligible for CFRE Continuing Education Credit. It is the individual's responsibility to keep track of their CFRE hours, but we are providing a CE tracker for our 2007 Programs to assist you in keeping your records. To download a copy of the CE Tracker, please click here. We will be applying for CFRE Continuing Education credit again in 2008.

AFP Charlotte Receives Ten Star Award
 
The Ten Star Award honors those AFP chapters who have accomplished many of the key objectives outlined in AFP International's strategic plan.  Some of those key objectives include:
-Holding an event on ethics and ethical fundraising
-Chapter has a net increase in membership growth
-Chapter has held a Philanthropy Day event
-Chapter held an organized event focused on CFRE or ACFRE certification
-Chapter achieved its Every Member campaign goal
